Corruption in America

The American Breed

Have you ever asked someone what they are and they don't know what to say, or they list their entire ancestral history (e.g. English, German, Swedish, Russian)? They are talking about a mix of biological genes they inherited. This is what gives you your physical make-up--your eye color, your skin tone.

I say there is no color in America. Some people have fair complexions, some olive, others dark. If you take German, French, and African genes and breed it in America, what do you have? The American breed.

I know a young lady who grew up in a racially mixed household. She fought criticism all her life. She was trying to find a way to fit in, and her comeback was simple. I am "American." She is the same as everybody else.

So the next time someone asks you what you are, simply say, American. If you were born here in America, what else can you say? And if you think you are from somewhere else, don't forget, the door swings both ways. You can always leave. We need to unite and be whole again, not fighting among ourselves. There is no color in America.
