Corruption in America

Deceit
As you know, the citizens of California voted in propositions 103 and 187. The first proposition, 103, is not being enforced. We could go to our insurance commissioner Chuck Quackenbush with the problem, but I don’t think it would do any good. He has made it in the newspaper several times now, concerning insurance fraud. The following is a run-down on recent headlines.
Los Angeles Times (Orange County edition), Saturday, May 6, 2000 (front page), Judge Freezes Quackenbush Fund’s Assets (supposedly meant to help Northridge quake victims) after hearing on allegations that the organization is a ‘sham.’
Los Angeles Times, Friday, May 12, 2000 (front page), Quackenbush Secretly Routed Funds to TV Ads.
Los Angeles Times, Thursday, April 27, 2000 (front page), Quackenbush OK’d Deal to Shield Firm from Fines. Farmers Insurance promised to donate $1 million to an educational program run by political allies of the commissioner, and then month’s later, "contributed $10,000 to the political accounts of the commissioner, who used it to help pay a personal loan made by his wife to her failed state Senate campaign."
Proposition 103 is a rebate on your auto, home, and most kinds of business insurance. It does not apply to life, health, disability, or workers’ compensation insurance. So what’s the problem? The state supreme court ruled that the measure could not deprive insurance companies of a reasonable profit. What a joke!
I think the people who are running our insurance companies have lost track of their purpose. In my opinion, these companies are meant to serve the people, not get rich off of them. All insurance providers should be non-profit. For further information about your rebate, you may call 1-800-927-HELP, or 1-213-897-8921.
Now, let’s move on to 187, which was voted in and then dropped. One of its purposes was to relieve the citizens of the responsibility of using their tax dollars to pay for illegal alien’s social, health, and educational services. These people are illegal and we’re paying for all their stuff. This money should be going to the growing homeless population in California—legal citizens, I might add.
I believe that Governor Gray Davis is on their side. He and other American leaders are fighting for the Mexican’s when they should be helping us. Davis has reportedly been known to say that California and Mexico would be a "magnificent region someday" (see americanpatrol.com). He has already sold out California. He meets with the Mexican-anti-American groups and even goes to Mexico from time to time to plan his next move.
When I read and watch the news on how the Mexican president lashes out at the American people, I say, that’s not love, that’s hate! Groups of Mexicans held a protest march down our streets, holding our flag, telling us to go back to 13 colonies, and during a soccer game, threw urine on the American people.
Americans, again I say, don’t you think it is time to take this country back from the government and make it for the American people again?
