I’m writing this article to show the impact of a disaster and the lives it takes. As NASA destroys the ozone layer, Mother Nature fights harder at protecting herself. She does this through natural (or unnatural) disasters, such as floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, and hurricanes.

There has been a steady growth in the intensity of disasters since the beginning of space flight. If you go back to my previous article on NASA, you’ll see the correlation. The number of disasters rises and falls according to the number of space flights. The clearest evidence of this is during the years 1979 to 1981 when NASA had no space flights. The number of major disasters dropped, dramatically.

Mother Nature recently threw a few good disasters our way. Let’s take a look at our recent earthquakes off the coast of Central America, which buried people in mud, killing at least 844 people on 1/13/01 – 7.6 magnitude. Aftershocks were 4.1 magnitude on 1/14/01, 1/14/01 – 5.4 magnitude, 1/14/01 – 5.1 magnitude, 1/15/01 – 5.0 magnitude, 1/15/01 – 4.7 magnitude, 1/15/01 – 5.0 magnitude, 1/15/01 – 5.2 magnitude, 1/17/01 – 4.9 magnitude, 1/25/01 – 5.3 magnitude, 1/29/01 – 4.7 magnitude, and on 2/13/01, a second major earthquake of 6.6 magnitude, which killed more than 170 people and destroyed homes. Aftershocks occurred on 2/13/01 – 4.6 magnitude and on 2/14/01 – 4.4 magnitude.

And if that wasn’t enough, we have India, which had a quake of 6.2 magnitude on 1/15/01, and a 7.9 on 1/26/01, which caused 16,425 deaths, injured 55,000, and left 600,000 people, homeless. Take a look at the aftershocks that came out of this single earthquake: 5.2 magnitude, 1/26/01 – 5.1 magnitude, 1/26/01 – 5.0 magnitude, 1/26/01 – 5.5 magnitude, 1/28/01– 5.8 magnitude, 1/29/01– 4.8 magnitude, 1/30/01 – 4.5 magnitude, 1/31/01 – 4.8 magnitude. And on 2/8/01 – 4.4 magnitude, which rocked India again. The aftershock of that quake occurred on 2/8/01 – 4.9 magnitude.

I truly believe that by putting an end to NASA space flights, we will give Mother Nature a chance to heal and save thousands of lives. Think about it.
