Corruption in America

Haven't Learned
HAVEN'T LEARNED 10/24/01 We are at war because of globalization and yet President George Bush is in China for the APEC Summit and still talking about global growth. Our leader seems to think that the way to unite with other countries is to send them military aid and/or money. We've been sending military aid and technology to Israel for years, and I believe that's sending a message that we are taking sides.
Our leaders are trying to buy friends and it isn't working. We put $100 billion aside to rebuild Afghanistan after the war, and yet, 92 percent of the Afghan people hate Americans, according to a report from Matt Drudge, Drudge Radio Show.
The United States and Mexico have teamed up on health care for the illegal alien. Tommy G. Thompson, U.S. Health and Human Services secretary, promised a $50-million agricultural health grant to the initiative and will try to come up with an additional $25 million for health projects if they come up with valid ways to spend the money. But our generosity is getting us nowhere. On October 2, The Miami Herald Reported, "The Terrorist Attacks have brought out a side of Mexican Nationalism and Anti-Americanism that pundits had pronounced dead." According to Press Reports, Mexico is still angry with the United States over the loss of Territory-Territory it wants back.
Further evidence of the Mexican's hatred towards Americans came out on Thursday, September 27, when Australian Broadcasting reported, Mexico City street vendors are making a brisk business selling "Bin Ladin is my hero" T-shirts," and on Friday, September 28, Fox News showed the American flag being burned in Mexico City.
We have made many enemies by putting our nose where it doesn't belong. I think it is okay to send food to other countries but not to give them money and weapons. Our leaders say we are loved, but I don't see it. If we haven't learned by now after the attacks on our homeland, September 11, to stay out of other country's business, what will it take-a nuclear bomb?
