Corruption in America

Mountain Lion
As I walk through the mountains in a dream and approach my favorite spot for praying, a mountain lion crosses my path. I sit down and call to her. She comes and lies down beside me.
This was the first time a mountain lion came to me in a dream so I was surprised and confused by her appearance. I knew she was a totem animal and I immediately looked up her meaning. According to Native American legend, the mountain lion is a totem animal that "stands for peace. Her medicine is very strong and difficult. It involves many lessons on the use of power in leadership."
She is "king of the mountain" and goes unchallenged. She only fights if attacked. She does not lie and "leads without insisting that others follow." She is in tune with mother earth for she can hear her heart beat. "She balances her power with physical strength and grace. Her lessons in leading will multiply in time."
The mountain lion didn't speak to me because I believe she is concerned that I would question her medicine during these troubled times and would find it difficult to think of peace, and not be ready to pass her message on to the American people.
We should look for mountain lion in the leaders we choose today. According to the legend, a leader does not have mountain lion medicine if he leads through "tyranny or dictatorship." Our president speaks of peace and prosperity while he attacks another country and sacrifices the economy and well being of his own people.
