NASA—Ozone 2
Okay people, once again let’s take a look at the facts. We know that since my last article the natural (or unnatural) disasters on Earth have grown stronger and are occurring more frequently, and we ask ourselves why? I believe that disasters are Mother Nature’s way of telling us to stop destroying the protective blanket (her ozone layer) she gave us or she will destroy us for her own survival.
The ozone layer is the heart of Mother Nature. She uses it to maintain the balance of things on Earth. About 20 years after space flights began our scientists noticed a thinning of the ozone layer.
Today we all must wear sunblock to protect ourselves from the sun’s cancer causing radiation that comes through the holes in the ozone. Our marine life and rain forest are also paying the price for man’s goals. Sheep living under the arctic ozone are developing cataracts.
Our government blames the depletion of the ozone layer on the use of chlorine, a primary compound of chloroflurocarbons (CFC’s) contained in our aerosol sprays. Did you know that rocket fuel also releases chlorine into the stratosphere? When one of the primary ingredients in rocket fuel, ammonium perchlorate, is heated it emits highly toxic fumes of chloride, a compound of chlorine.
So what do you think a rocket ship is doing to our ozone layer as it blasts through, leaving a cloud of chlorine tainted gas on top of it. We must ask ourselves, is keeping NASA worth it? I say, no.
Once we destroy the ozone, we destroy ourselves. So, the next time you put your children to bed, take a good look at them. It may be your last.
