After serving for more than 20 years as a naval seal, my friend just found out he is only receiving 30 percent of his pension and his family no longer has medical insurance.

His wife told me he has two "Blown-out" knees, a bad back, and flat feet, so he can't work. She now has to work a full time job to provide medical insurance for her and the children and to help support the family.

This is only one example. I've read many stories about our veterans not receiving the benefits and medical treatment they need. Over the next 10 years, our veterans will lose billions of dollars in medical, retirement, and other benefits.

We can't let the Bush administration get away with taking from our men and women who answered the call to war and fought for our country. President George Bush seems to find the money to help the world but not our own. Our soldiers need and deserve our ongoing support at home as well as overseas.
